Experimental Characterization of A-AFiM, an Adaptable Assistive Device for Finger Motions

چکیده

Robot rehabilitation devices are attracting significant research interest, aiming at developing viable solutions for increasing the patient’s quality of life and enhancing clinician’s therapies. This paper outlines design implementation a low-cost robotic system that can assist finger motion by controlling adapting both position velocity fingers to users′ needs. The proposed device consists four slider-crank mechanisms. Each is fixed moves one (from index little finger). adjusted through regulation single link length mechanism. trajectory generated corresponds natural flexion extension each finger. functionality this mechanism validated experimental image processing. Experimental validation performed tests on healthy subjects demonstrate feasibility user-friendliness solution.
